Have you got a special occasion coming up soon? Perhaps you're planning your wedding, or organising your 50th Birthday party? Maybe you are looking ahead to your child's next Birthday?

Whatever the occasion, One Present is a way for your guests to contribute towards one special gift for you or your family.

One Present allows you to set up a Contributors' Account, where guests to your party, wedding or special occasion can donate money to your account. And on the day you select, One Present transfers all the money collected to your bank account - it's as simple as that!

All you pay is a small fee, depending on the occasion:

For a child's party you pay £5
For a wedding or any other special occasions you pay £10

It's remarkably easy to set up. Simply click on one of the three options: Children's Parties, Weddings or Special Occasions, register your event and pay the appropriate fee.

Then print out vouchers, (see an example here) which will give unique details of your request, and include them with your invitations. Your guests can then log in (via the contributors' panel on the right of the homepage) and make their donation. On the day you have specified, One Present deposits the money in your bank account.

You can view a 'Contributions E-Card' (see example here), a summary of your received contributions at any point after the event has been set up, giving you an ongoing view of contributions made.

How to set up a One Present request

1. Click on one of the following three options:

   * Children's Parties
   * Weddings
   * Other Special Occasions

2. Enter a brief description of the present that you would like any contributions put towards and provide other event details, including who the present is for and the date of the payment.

3. Enter your name and email address.

4. Provide the bank account number where you would like to receive the total collected.

5. Pay the £5/£10 to use the service through our online banking partners Barclays and Secure Hosting.

6. Print out the One Present request vouchers to be included in your invitations. These will provide your friends, family and other guests with the option of contributing towards your one special present.

Collecting your total contributions

1. Contributions are held in a designated account, before being sent to you.

2. The total money collected will be sent to your bank account on the morning of the date that you have given us. The money may take 3-5 days to clear in your account.

How to make a contribution to an event

1.Your One Present Request Vouchers will include a unique reference number and password. By entering these details onto the front page of the One Present site you will be able to contribute on-line towards the One Present.

2. Enter your name and email address and the amount you would like to contribute.

3. Make your payment, using our online banking partners Secure Hosting.

4. You will then receive confirmation of your contribution and your name will be included on the congratulatory E-card. Click here to see an example of the E-card.
